The Challenge: Game for Good

We invite teenagers to design and develop computer or mobile games that address, raise awareness about, or are otherwise related to a challenge faced by their local community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate?

The challenge is open to all teenagers 13-18. Teams must have at least 3 members and an adult lead. Non-school-affiliated teams are welcome!

Do I need to be a coding expert?

Absolutely not! Games need designers, storytellers, civic-minded individuals, and testers, not just coders. We encourage diverse teams!

What kind of support will be available?

We'll have a dedicated Discord channel, weekly coding sessions, and scheduled lessons from mentors on various tech and game-building topics.

What are the prizes?

Prizes will be announced closer to the Tech Jam date and will be exciting incentives for our top teams!

Mentors

Interested in volunteering to mentor teenagers and team leads through the event? We're looking for industry experts, educators, and enthusiasts in tech, gaming, design, and civics to guide participants!
